Comfort
85

Plush underfoot for long days — break-in period is minimal.

Fit / Lockdown
78

Runs true to size; midfoot hold holds up across foot shapes.

Durability
76

Tread wears honestly; upper survives daily rotation.

Style
83

Versatile enough for work and weekend wear.

Value
82

Hits well above its price bracket in our testing.

Factory set for ~170-180 lbs. Adjusting for your weight is one of the most impactful free changes.

Sag

How much suspension compresses under weight. Target rider sag: 25-33% of total travel. Sport ~30%, touring ~25%.

Measuring

Rear: bike on stand (L1 frame-to-axle). Sit in gear (L2). Sag = L1 minus L2. Under 25%: too stiff. Over 33%: too soft.

Preload

Spring tension at rest. Increase = less sag. Decrease = more sag. Spanner wrench or twist knob. Small increments, ride, re-measure.

Front

Same concept using brake compression. Measure fork seal to axle. Target ~30%.

Wrong Springs

30+ lbs from average may need aftermarket springs (Race Tech, Ohlins, Progressive).

Damping

Compression and rebound clickers: start factory settings. Get sag right first.
